Collinsville Youth Baseball League Fall Rules
USSSA rules will apply at all CYBL games, subject to the following amendments:

ALL AGES
1 Rules subject to change if determined by the league as necessary.
2. Diamond DOL-A baseball or equivalent must be used.
3. Drop Dead Time Limit..
4. No automatic out for not enough players.
5. Delay of game is at the discretion of the umpire.
6. First pitch of the next half-inning must be delivered no more than 90 seconds after the 3rd out of the previous half-inning is recorded.
Coach Pitch Penalty: The offensive coach can deliver the pitch on the umpires approval. If the offense is not ready to deliver the pitch after 90 seconds, a pitch will be taken away every 20 seconds).
Kid Pitch Penalty: If the defense delays in delivering the pitch within 90 seconds, a ball will be awarded every 20 seconds of delay. If the offense delays in stepping in the box within 90 seconds, a strike will be awarded every 20 seconds of delay.
8. The catcher of record must always use a courtesy runner if 2 outs.
5/6U Modified Coach Pitch
1. Batter gets 5 pitches, option to use tee in place of the last 2 pitches. Foul on 5th pitch is an out.
2. The batter and runners can only advance 1 base when the ball is hit off a tee, and only if they are forced.
2. Limit of 5 runs per inning.
3. Time limit 1 hour.
4. Only 2 defensive coaches allowed on the field during play (must stay outfield).
5. “Time” is called once ball is infield, all runners cease to advance, defense is not attempting a play.
7/8U Coach Pitch
1. Batter gets 5 pitches, or 3 swings. If the 5th pitch or 3rd swing is a foul ball, the batter continues his at bat.
2. Limit of 5 runs per inning.
3. Time limit 1 hour.
4. Only 2 defensive coaches allowed on the field during play (must stay outfield).
5. “Time” is called once ball is infield, all runners cease to advance, defense is not attempting a play.
8U/9U Modified Kid Pitch
Normal CYBL Kid pitch Rules Apply Subject to the Following Amendments
- If ball 4 is delivered to a batter, instead of walking, an offensive coach will be allowed to pitch to the batter.
- The offensive coach must wait for the play to be over AND the umpire to call time before they step onto the field.
- The batter will be allowed 3 pitches, OR the number of swings that he has remaining in strikes (a foul on the last pitch continues the at bat).
- The pitching coach must deliver the pitch with at least one foot touching the pitching mound.
- The defensive pitcher also must have at least one foot touching the mound when the pitch is being delivered.
- Once the batter strikes out or puts the ball in play, the coach will leave the playing field.
- Normal coach pitch rules will apply when the coach is pitching (if you can't do it in coach pitch you can't do it while the coach is pitching).
- If a batter is hit by a KID pitch, they automatically get to take first base (there is no option for a coach to pitch to a batter who has been HBP).
- Dropped 3rd strike rule is NOT in effect.
- Runners cannot steal home.

1. Limit of 5 runs per inning.
2. Time limit 70 minutes.
3. Umpire may give warning for a balk.
